5.0 out of 5 stars Very thorough 25 Feb 2012
Format:Paperback
Ordered this together with the Frommer's Provence & Cote D'Azur with Your Family (Frommers With Your Family Series) and the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Provence & The Cote d'Azur. This guide is far superior to the DK Eyewitness guide, with much more useful information, ranging from practicalities to the language and history chapters. The illustrations have very much improved compared to what you could expect from a Rough Guide just a few years ago.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rough Guides to Provence & Cote D'Azure 14 Oct 2011
By fyefye
Format:Paperback
I got exactly what was advertised. Book in new condition quickly sent. I only wish I'd realised that rough guides aren't published annually. This is not the seller's fault. This was the latest (2010) edition but it was in fact, little changed from my 2005 edition.
Great for anyone buying for the first time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent travel guide 13 Aug 2010
By Natalie
Format:Paperback
This Rough guide is well written and gives clear descriptions of towns and landmarks in Provence. I have used this book and the earlier edition many times when I travel to this part of France.

The product arrived promptly, and has been used twice already. These were to replace an earlier set which had been lost. They are very effective.

4.0 out of 5 stars comprehensive
informative and comprehensive - because the area it's covering is so vast, it can't go into lengthy detail about partcular places, like small villages, but it's a useful guide. Read more
