Rough Guide Map Tuscany We used this map on our trip to Tuscany this year. It is very clear with a good index. It is made of a material that doesn't tear and withstands the "map fights" where the map doen't fold the way you want it to and appears to have a mind of it's own. Even my husband managed to navigate using this map & he'd get lost going to the end of the street. Lives up to the Rough Guides reputation.

Bought both this map and the Tuscany AA map for driving holiday in Tuscany. This map was far superior in terms of labelling of roads and small towns/villages.

Average at best 24 April 2011

Bought this map based on comments of others but have been sadly disappointed. The map has nowhere near enough detail for driving around the Tuscan countryside where many of the roads - which lead to the nicest villages and scenery - are untarmaced minor roads. This map had many of the small villages missing, let alone the roads that led to them.

If you are content with driving from city to city in Tuscany or following the major routes such as the "Chianti Highway" then you'll be OK. If, like us, you want to go off the beaten track a bit and find the untouched villages and the real Tuscan countryside then this map is not great. The only problem is it is difficult to find a better scaled map online. You are best off buying a 1:25000 map out there or, like us, use the maps on your iPhone which are far more detailed!
