I am at a loss to understand the previous review. Yes, the map is on two sides with half of the island on each but because I have hand-eye co-ordination I could turn it over when I needed to. It is conventional map-size rather than large and those clever rough guide people thoughtfully made it out of paper so it folds making it easily the right size to use in the car. Not only that, they made it out of tough paper, so despite folding and unfolding, dropping on the floor, treading on, rubbing sand into it, and all those other things you do on holiday, it still held together and was readable. As for detailed, I used it to navigate round blocked roads without a problem. It is not useful for in towns but we found that road signs did the job for us here. Altogether I'd recommend it to others and suggest the previous reviewer gets sat nav next time they go abroad on holiday.

I agree with the review below. This is an excellent map and very easy to use and navigate with. The scale is ok to use and cover the island with just one map and it has plenty of useful keys and information included. Thanks Rough Guide.

Although I have seen a few negative comments, my own experience is that it is absolutely fit for purpose. it is accurate, has enough detail and folds easily. Its claims to be resistant to spills was certainly tested by my sister and a glass of wine, it passed with flying colours!

not a lot of use!!
This map is a waste of space.Its too big to use in a car and especially awkward because half the island is on each of the two sides.Even though its big its very poor on detail.
