We bought this map to replace a Road Editions one we have used for several years. The scale is only slightly smaller than the Road Editions one but it is not so clear and easy to use. Some of the place names are poorly positioned on top of roads or other features and can be difficult to find. In addition countour lines are not so clear as on our old one. If you need a waterproof/tear proof map this is for you but if you want an easy to read and use one go for Road Editions

A map that is nicely presented and competitively priced but is woefully inadequate for the task. Cretan roads are several categories below Western European equivalents, and so the map represents that there are roads where only cart-tracks exist. The map seems to show roads that exist only as footpaths, and the scale of the map is insufficient to show the level of detail required for navigating in the countryside. We hardly used this map after the first day except for route planning, and relied on a local map at a larger scale. Don't buy this - purchase a larger scale map locally on arrival - they are widely available and very cheap.

Good practical touring map
Liked the flexible map surface, makes it easy to re-fold map to show all area you want to see, without the usual problem of map splitting/tearing in use - although map soon parted... Read more
