5.0 out of 5 stars Another cracker from Rough Guide, 16 April 2003
This review is from: The Rough Guide to Las Vegas (Miniguides) (Paperback)
This is a great wee book to take with you to Vegas as it's informative, fills you in with the essential history of the place and is written in a witty, almost sarcastic style. I'm sure the architects of The Venetian Hotel and Casino wouldn't agree their creation is 'ludicrous' as the author describes it, but he does so with affection. Las Vegas is ludicrous, so it fits right in! Potted reviews of all the major casinos, the best restaurants (although it does focus on the more expensive places), what to do off The Strip and out the city, and even a guide to how to gamble your money away at the tables make this an essential purchase if you're heading to Las Vegas.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Little Guide, 16 Aug 2011
My wife and I visited Vegas back in 2002 and fully expected lots of change so bought this Rough Guide to update us. We have found it invaluable and when we visit in November we will know what to expect and will have done some pre visit planning so as not to waste time in deciding where to go or what to see at the last minute. It is a very informative guide and very up to date (dispite previous comments of it being out of date) our copy is dated April 2011.
