5.0 out of 5 stars Rough Guide made two wonderful trips possible, 30 Sep 2009
By Chris N. Morfas "I'd_Rather_Be_In_France" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Rough Guide to Dordogne and the Lot (Rough Guide Travel Guides) (Paperback)
I used a 2004(?) version of the book to plan two fabulous trips to the Dordogne, one in 2005, the other in 2008. Both times I traveled with Cyclomundo on bicycle tours of the region, but on the second trip I planned our itinerary. The hotel, restaurant and logistical info from Rough Guide was spot-on. The amount of info was impressive, yet the book was eminently readable; In fact, my copy is almost worn out from reading it at home while I plan the next trip! Furthermore, the tone--direct but casual-- was to my liking. This book is a winner.
