Found this Lake District Guide brilliant and was just what we were looking for. It is compact but packed full of up to date information that was essential to our holiday. The maps are very useful and has a good selection of places to eat and drink in all the areas around the Lake District. Would have been lost without it! Definately recommended!

A great book for one of my favourite places in the world. Compact and light enough to shove into your rucksack without noticing, clear, concise and useful. An invaluable touring companion.

I tend to go to the Lakes when the crowds have gone as i live just 45 miles away this book is very good and i have found a lot of new places to visit, the front cover is Ashness Bridge which is very nice to visit come rain or shine, i will hopefully visit most places in this book and i reccommend this to anyone

This was a great purchase to accompany my family on a recent holiday to the lakes as it was our first visit. As always in rough guides the information was relevant, well written and interesting. Excellent recommendations on where to visit including walks, historical houses, restaurants etc. it was invaluable .

A comprehensive guide. As a second hand copy did not expect it in pristine condition. Have bought second hand books online and often those marked 'Good' condition have looked relatively unused. This will serve its purpose now I've cellotaped the pages! But for 1p and postage to be fair it's a bargain.
