5.0 out of 5 stars Part 3 19 Nov 2013

In my reviews previously, I complained about the endings, but of course they weren't really endings, they were pauses in this story. Unusually for Stephen, there was a lot of social comment about the blood diamond industry, and it is not nice in any way.
It is full of the typical Spider way of life and as usual I thoroughly enjoyed it!
These short stories almost keep me satisfied until the next full length Spider novel comes out.....almost

Great read. Spider does it again. Great insight into the diamond trade. Short stories are a great way of passing time on journeys.

If, like me you enjoy the Spider series from this author you will find this one a treat. Shows how the others came about. I just wish I had read this one first. Well worth the read.

5.0 out of 5 stars More 'Diamond' than rough -Kindle read 1 Jan 2014

He's done it again! Oh, by the way, one has to read Warning Order before Hostile Territory and Rough Diamonds (but don't take my word for it, I get confused...), as they kind of run together, consecutively, one after the other... Very good read as usual from Mr. Leather. If you have never read any of his books and these 'tasters' are your first venture into the land of Stephen Leather, you are in for a Readers treat like no other. If I didn't know better, I'd say he was there, on the ground with Spider and his mates; the SAS tackling the enemy like they were trained to do.

Really good ending, more of a novella than 3 short story's. But each was readable on there own. Good stuff very sas type missions and basic team work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another fast paced short story 2 Nov 2013
This story follows on from Hostile Territory and is definitely action packed. Shows great understanding of the troubles in Africa. I thoroughly recommend it and if it is the first time you have come across this author give it ago you will find it an easy read.
