5.0 out of 5 stars My 9 year old daughter got hooked immediately 25 April 2013

My daughater will shy away from reading and avoid it at all cost. But "Rotten School" #1 starts off just right. I read some pages myself and the morning announcements couldn't be better. They were just what my daughter loved to hear. She read the first 5 chapters in one evening. Normally she won't be able to complete a page in any book. I am very happy with my purchase.
I bought numbers 1,2 and 3. I am getting the others in the series for her.

This was recommended to me in a teacher's in service meeting. I downloaded it immediately and was not "caught" by the first few pages, so I stopped reading. A couple months later I finished the book. I never caught on to the reason it was recommended.

I love this series. I use it as a substitute to read in my older grade classrooms. The kids listen attentively and laugh through me reading the story. Its funny even for adults.
