4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Actually 14 Oct 2006
Format:Audio CD
Got my copy of Rotten Apple today and I was pretty suprised actually. I was a big fan of "Hunger For More" - Bank's first album - so I was sceptical about this been as good as his previous one.

Overall Rotten Apple was a solid album, nothing amazing but nothing crap. Bank's has got his usual double-rhyming (similar to Cam n' Big L) locked down as usual. The production is so clean and clean-cut, kind of like a pop album in a way, I prefer the more gritty and grimey beats like on Hunger For More.

However there is one exception "Get Clapped" feat. Mobb Deep produced by "Needlz" is astounding! I loved that track, one of the strongest on the album. GReat production, good verses all round and a catchy chorus you'll be humming in your head.

*Other strong tracks include - "Survival", "Cake" (of course) "Hand's Up - very catchy produced Mr. Mathers, and "Iceman" feat, Young Buck & Scarface.

Me, personally preffered G-Unit just when it was Banks, Buck & Yayo. I think Buck & Bank's are two of the strongest member's in it.

"Hunger For More" is better than Rotten Apple but it's not bad effort at all for Bank's 2nd time round, it's always a struggle for any artist to top their debut album but Bank's does alright here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than any other G-Unit album... 19 Nov 2006
Format:Audio CD
Lloyd Banks is by far the best in G-Unit and this album shows it. After the huge fall out with ex-member 'The Game', Banks gets in the studio and records some intense tunes. There is one downside... 50 Cent & Tony Yayo. Give it up guys, stop frontin' & the snitchin'. Stand out tracks "Hands Up", "Cake", "One Night Stand", "Get Clapped".

4.0 out of 5 stars Another hit from banks by true banks fan 6 Nov 2006
Format:Audio CD
Im a big fan of lloyd banks and have all his albums in cluding mixtapes and any g-unit albums with him on them. After the great hunger for more albu mi was expecting this to be a less a succes however this album is just as great. Although silghtly less grimey and more club bangers its banks punchlines that amaze ya n even make ya smile ( in one song he describes his jewllwery like camel soup). With some amzing beats from emimnem and noodlez, he also has some big name features such as mobb deep whos song is one of the best on tehre, yayo, musiq soul child,spider-loc,8ball ammd young buck which are on iceman another awsome track. mot to mention the legndary rakim. the one problem i have is the songs that are aimed for the ladies neither of em are newhere close to smile from the hunger for more album which is a shame and the album may have been better with out them.

4.0 out of 5 stars >JaYz_wAyZ< 18 Oct 2006
Format:Audio CD
Even tho Banks is seemingly in the shadow of G-Unit figure head 50cent, this album will push fiddy to the limit, with Lloyds lyrical punch dat would eat most rappers for lunch! The hit single assisted by fiddy and produced by eminem is a club bangger no doubt, but its banks ability dat shines through for me in tracks lyk survival, Get Clapped & One night stand etc. But with all the pro's this album is no classic missing key apperances from notable ledgends(e.g Snoop,Nas,Jigga,Dre,Pac,B.I.G & lyrics from Slim Shady etc) or 2days top hip hip artists lyk The Game etc!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Album! 20 Oct 2006
Format:Audio CD
I must say i was waiting 4 this album for a while and as i'd heard a few of the tracks on recent mixtapes (which both feature 50 cent) i thought it was gonna be a filler album to support a few good tracks - I Was wrong - i absolutely loved it and after lovein' "The Hunger for more" and being a fan of G-Unit's music (apart from Tony Yayo's album which pretty much sucked) - i can honestly say it's probably the best non-50 cent G-Unit album that's been released (apart from Mobb Depp "Blood Money-which got slept on)- I would recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of East coast Hip-Hip and G-Unit respectively! *****
