4.0 out of 5 stars Still without peer, 7 Sep 2002

OK, I'll admit that I'm a bit of a fan of statistical records, a fully fledged anorak wearer if you will, but this is a thorougly satisfying book.

The English and Scottish club section is full of interesting facts and figures and devotes 4 pages to each team in the top divisions.

And while you will spend some time reading the details about your own club, you will also look up the details of other teams making the current news or perhaps your local rivals. Did you know that Sp*rs have NEVER finished in the top 6 of the Premiership ??? No neither did I, but you can be sure that all my T*ttenham supporting mates are hearing about it now.
:-)

With coverage of European cups, and foreign leagues, as well as a full rundown of World Cup 2002, and even the details of Confernece, Ryman, Unibond and other lessor leagues this book really is the bible for football nuts.

I might look pricier than other cheaper (dare I say lessor) compilations .. but sometimes you get what you pay for. Buy this book.

(But you only need the paperback edition. I;ve got one from way back in 1980-81 which has been thumbed thousands of times and is still in top condition. Save yourself some cash)

5.0 out of 5 stars Rothmans Football Yearbook 2002-2003, 14 Jan 2003

This review is from: Rothman's Football Year Book 2002-2003 (Paperback)
According to most football enthusiasts, this is THE book to own regarding the beautiful game -- soccer! It contains extensive coverage of all players, records, and competitions, especially within the English and Scottish leagues. This is a must for any football fan.
And, if you look on ebay or other used booksellers, it seems the demand for these books only increases as time passes! Get one while you can (ps, they should be paying me for this vibrant sales pitch!)
