The tubes lack of enough grip for smaller species of hamsters. I have 3 chinese male hamsters. So, I have to scratch them a bit so the animals can use them vertically. Or they can be used normally on a 45 degree angle. The tubes lack also ventilation. My hamsters chose to sleep in the tubes and moisture start growing in the tubes. So, I had to pierce them. A couple holes per tube should be fine. If the hamsters urinate a lot in the tubes the urine might leak through the "joints" where the sections of the tubes meet. I mean, the tubes are ok but may required further "adaptations".

We have battled and battled to overcome all the design faults and get these assembled. After three attempts the basic pipe is together but has also come apart. Trying to get it connected to the Creepy Castle led to much swearing so we've abandoned it until cleaning out cage time. The product we were sent contained a mish-mash of clear and pink and orange connections that look awful - especially for a boy's pet - as well as the tidy looking pictured curves. The x-pieces are in a very poor quality polymer and don't seem sturdy enough to stay connected. Also, the two leaflets in the box were shoddy photocopies that give the impression that the provider has lost interest in the product. One more attempt to get this together today and then it'll be refund request. Such a shame as the hamster rather likes the long curve section when he tried it out away from the cage.

Good selection of the tubes. There is enough of them to connect two hamster houses with two different corridors (photo uploaded)... we have still 2 tubes left for later extensions.
Some pieces are easier to connect, others disconnect itself. You may need to soak connector rings in hot water for a while to slip them on easier. But once you will find perfect combination they will stay connected properly.
