Ross HD digital Satellite ReceiverGood reception from a Sky aerial. Had a bit of trouble as the software loaded on it did not work because it was out of date, but uploading the latest was very easy with probably the best guide I have ever seen. The USB output for recording is a real bonus. Great value.

Great picture reasonably easy to set up and use the time delay and the ability to record are added bonus's.One thing missing is 7day EPG,although it does have now and next on the channel being viewed

I spent a long time researching the best HD box for my budget before ordering this, mainly because of its recording feature. However, to me the recording feature was not enough of a bonus to make up for its other shortcomings. The picture and sound are fine, but the menus and EPG are very basic and cheap-looking. There is no proper program guide, only what is showing now and next for each channel individually, not in a list. The writing for this is very hard to read, in a blocky teletext style font. As it is not an official freesat box it also does not have red button features or BBC iPlayer. Its usability was so poor that I have returned it, and ordered a Manhattan Plaza HD-S instead, which does not have the USB recording feature but in every other respect is much better.

When German tv changed from analogue to digital this Ross HDR611USB box performed well and its functions make easy editing out the unwanted chanels.
