Rosie Kent writes funny poetry for young children. Her poems, on topics as diverse as animals, monsters and school life, have appeared in several Macmillan anthologies. In her day-job she works with the under-fives and their parents, encouraging a love of books and delivering weekly story and rhyme sessions in libraries and nursery settings. She writes extensively for a variety of national professional and childcare magazines on all matters relating to children's books and working with pre-school children, under her real name, Vivien(or Viv)Hampshire.
Adding another 'string to her bow', her women's fiction appears regularly in many UK women's magazines, sometimes as Rosie Kent, but usually as Vivien Hampshire, and she is a contributor to 'Diamonds and Pearls' an anthology of stories published in February 2011 and sold in aid of a breast cancer charity. She has two children of her own, now grown-up, and a collection of pet cats and goldfish.
