Product Description

Product Description

Nick Robertson has become used to his grandmother Rosie's dotty behaviour. At 86, a widow now, she is determined that before life passes her by, she will live a little. Or, preferably, a lot. It wouldn't be so bad if Nick had nothing else to do, but with a job to find, two warring parents to cope with and a love life in terminal decline, he would prefer his grandmother to get on with things quietly. But, Rosie insists, there is no time like the present. Life is to be enjoyed to the full and to hell with the consequences. She'll help Nick find the soulmate he clearly lacks and he can help her make the most of her few remaining years. Alan Titchmarsh's sparkling new novel is a delicious blend of humour and romance, and a resounding affirmation that there is no such thing as the generation gap.

About the Author

Alan Titchmarsh is the author of four bestselling novels. He has been the main presenter on BBC2's GARDENER'S WORLD since 1996 and is also the main presenter on GROUND FORCE and his new series HOW TO BE A GARDENER.

At last a real feel good book. Its been a while since I had such an engaging read in my hot sticky paws. I couldn't put it down is over worked but I really did read this in one sitting. Such a lovely cast of characters I was genuinely pleased to get to know them. Please when I grow up, (not yet a while! after all I'm only just over half of Rosie's age - read the book and go figure. Oh and like Rosie I lie about my age) I want to grow up like Rosie, still enjoying life, right till the last minute.

Easy read
Story about a recalcitrant octogenarian who refuses to go quietly! An easy read, predictable but pleasant. Sort of book to read on holiday.

I wonder if Alan's garden is as untidy as his writing!
I would never normally choose to read this type of book, only giving it a go as it was lent to me by a colleague. Read more

Brilliant!
Haven't read fiction for years, but this had me hooked - a lovely story with images so easy to imagine. Alan writes so very well and I'm already buying other titles written by him.
