my cat absolutely loved this scratching pole from the minute it was out the box. She loves hiding and attacking the mice it is so funny to watch her. It is really strong and doesnt over balance when she jumps on it. Best thing we have bought her not only a scratching post but a good toy as well

My middle cat adores this scratching post and did so from the moment she saw it, demonstrating a perfect summersault to lay wrapped around the base, with claws attached to the post - and the post didn't even wobble a little bit during that process. All of the little mice poking their heads through the post have been investigated and slightly nibbled, adding much delight to the fairly basic claw-scratching process. All of our cats seem to pause to scratch at this post as they pass by, although it retains a very special place in the heart of the middle cat in particular who, I think, would rather like us to move her bed next to it.

The post is 50 cm high and has a 16 cm diameter (both excluding the base). It is easily put together via a screw inserted through the base. It is solidly made, the mice have all (so far anyway) stayed attached to the post and the scratching surface has proven worthy of the attention of three very interested cats.

purchased this for my cat, it looked great, however it hasn't lasted very long the pole has come away from the base, badly secured and not worth the money even though it was only £20....the delivery was very good though....I wouldn't recommend this item!

Brought the product, it looked nice and thats about it, unfortiunately it comes in panels, carpet (fine for cats claws) and a light material (not fine for cats claws) My 2 cats destroyed it in 2 days, the carpet and material came away from the cardboard inner and basically it was straight in the bin.

My two cats loved this post especially the little mice however, after a few days the material started to come away from the centre post. We thought we had lust been unlucky so we returned it but got a replacement. Within a few weeks the central column broke from the base leaving dangerous splinters!
My two cats are quite small and are outdoor cats so the post didn't get excessive use, would not recommend this product.

I purchased this scratching pole only a few weeks ago, and already it has fallen apart! The material has come unstuck from the pole and is hanging down making it almost impossible for my cat to use! Very disappointed, as went off star rating and price, being more expensive than many of the poles, I thought I would get what I paid for, a robust pole, far from it I'm afraid! Very poor quality, cheaply made, my last scratching pole only half the price yet far better, going to get the same one today from Pets at Home. Oh, it isn't as though I have an army of cats, mauling away at it, I only have one and she is tiny. I had to write this to let people know just how bad this product is!

This product appears to be of good quality and it is great from an aesthetic point of view that is is carpet and faux fur rather than sisal - although will have to wait and see how that holds up to wear and tear. Comes in a plastic carrier bag that could be saved and reused if so inclined. Easy to assemble. The paw print on the base is too close to the centre so that the toe prints get covered up by the pole once it is screwed on - same on a second item of the same make. No great matter but doesn't look as nice as that in the picture and something that the manufacturer should attend to in the quality control. Nice and sturdy - perhaps could do with being a bit taller for the larger cat.
