The Silent Dog Whistle is used for training & odebience, the sound adjustment is made by releasing the locking nut and turning the screw. I bought this item after reading many reviews on all different type of dog whistles and this only had the one review. It is not a 'silent' dog whistle as can make quite a large sound. My dog is six months old and i have bought this to train him to come back and it works! Every time he comes back to the whistle he gets a treat. The only downside is that the whistle is VERY small and can easily be lost.

Sorry to say this doesn't have the slightest effect on the dog, he doesn't even seem to hear it at any level. Can't be bothered to ask for refund.

Amazon Verified Purchase
This whistle has a screq on bolt ant the end by which the user can adjust the pitch. Unfortunately this means that when it is attached to a keyring (it is v small) it gradually unscrews and eventually falls off. I bought three of them and two are lost now. They should have some method of preventing the screw from coming away from the whistle.

not so silent whistle
The whistle is not silent and quite loud. The dog does respond but so do the people around, turning heads. This is what I wanted to avoid

not good

Sadly misdescribed
I wanted a whistle that the dog could hear but not my neighbours. Why should my neighbours be disturbed when I'm trying to communicate with the dog? This whistle in NOT silent. Read more

Doesnt work!
It claims to be a silent whistle yet only lets out a low pitched pathetic noise, that my dog didnt even look at!

Definitely not a silent whistle
