Product Description

From the Back Cover

"Join me for this all new Fat Attack Workout. These fitness routines are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness – in fact, each section has an easier and harder version, so that you can start at the pace that is right for you and keep on building! This programme is a true whole body workout, attacking your body fat from all directions. For really effective fat loss you need to attack body fat from two quite different fronts and this video guarantees to provide you with both.

  • Fat Attack Number One: After the warm-up, the main 20 minute Fat Attack section includes a high energy aerobic workout that ensures high calorie burning and the fat on your body will be used as fuel to keep you going.
  • Fat Attack Number Two: There are two sections – one targeting the hips and thighs and the other working on abdominal, upper body and back strengthening. Each section is just over 10 minutes long and is incredibly effective at strengthening and toning all the muscles in these areas.
  • Fat Attack Number Three: For the first time ever we have included a Fitness Circuit. It has been designed for men but is suitable for women too. This provides a golden opportunity for you to work out with the man in your life.

Start now and see the difference. Good luck and enjoy." - Rosemary Conley

4.0 out of 5 stars Lose weight, Get Fit, 26 April 2004
By A Customer
I bought this DVD after Christmas as part of a New Year bid to get fit -and it has really worked for me. After 3+ months I have lost over 2 stoneand am much fitter and visably more toned. The main exercise routine iseasy to get the hang of (even for someone as uncoordinated as myself) andat 20 minutes is long enough to get your pulse rate up but no so long youend up totally exhausted.
Since each section has an easier and harder version, you can start slowlyand then build up the intensity over the weeks so you really feel you aremaking progress. Conely is a good teacher - very encouraging and sheclearly knows her stuff.
Having done this DVD exclusively for several months I am now much fitterthan I was, but am also finding that this workout does not stretch me inthe way it used to. I have moved on to Kate's Cardio and Nell McAndrew'sMaximum Impact which provide more challenging workouts for intermidiates. But if I am short of energy or time, I go back to Fat Attack.
So overall- great for those new to exercise. If you do it several times aweek it will really help you lose weight. But if you are fairly fitalready, you will probably need something a little more intensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars A God Send - you really can lose weight and tone up!, 20 Feb 2006
By
sham (sedgefield, county durham United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
I bought the video for this two years after having my first baby and I was amazed to see how much weight I lost within a small amount of time. I did the video 4-5 times a week for 8 weeks religiously and found that I had dropped from a size 14 to size 10 in that time (58kgs to 54kgs). Although I did not follow the eating plan (explained in a leaflet) I found that the fitter I was getting the more conscious I was about my diet.
I am now using the video again after having my second baby. I have been working out with it 4-5 times a week for 6 weeks now and have lost 4kgs and currently weigh 59kgs.
The video consists of 10mins warm up, 18 mins cardiosvascular work out (which you can do at your preferred level) followed by 10mins (thigh and hip toner) and 10mins (abs incorporating cool down.) The moves are simple so you never feel clumsy or lost and the toning exercises are very easy to follow although I think there should have been more guidance on posture when doing the ab exercises.
I highly recommend this video to anyone who has the dedication to follow it through like me for atleast a month before beginning to see results.

4.0 out of 5 stars Technically good but a tad repetitive..., 14 Aug 2003
I own two Rosemary Conley DVDs and was shocked by the similarities between the two - she certainly likes to stick to her tried and tested moves! This DVD consists of a 10 minute warm up, a 20 minute "high-impact" aerobic session, then 10 minutes each on hips/thighs and abdominals.

The good points? I can feel myself definitely working progressively harder. I consider myself to be fairly unfit but as I am young, I have more energy and don't find the so-called high impact section to be incredibly strenuous. However, I felt like I was working and the intensity got increasingly higher throughout the workout. Conley is very good at explaining exactly how to do the moves, and although she doesn't jump around all that much herself, there are different people to follow according to the intensity you want to work at, which is excellent.

There are a couple of bad points to this DVD - the constant "So and so lost 5 and a half stone!" does get a tad irritating, though some may find it inspiring. It does feel somewhat like your granny instructing you, but she does know her stuff.

In all, it got my heart rate up but it's not as tough as, say, Kate's Cardio Combat or Nell McAndrew. I think it's good for people with a lot of weight to lose, or who are looking for a well structured, well instructed workout to start exercising with.
