I own two Rosemary Conley DVDs and was shocked by the similarities between the two - she certainly likes to stick to her tried and tested moves! This DVD consists of a 10 minute warm up, a 20 minute "high-impact" aerobic session, then 10 minutes each on hips/thighs and abdominals.
The good points? I can feel myself definitely working progressively harder. I consider myself to be fairly unfit but as I am young, I have more energy and don't find the so-called high impact section to be incredibly strenuous. However, I felt like I was working and the intensity got increasingly higher throughout the workout. Conley is very good at explaining exactly how to do the moves, and although she doesn't jump around all that much herself, there are different people to follow according to the intensity you want to work at, which is excellent.
There are a couple of bad points to this DVD - the constant "So and so lost 5 and a half stone!" does get a tad irritating, though some may find it inspiring. It does feel somewhat like your granny instructing you, but she does know her stuff.
In all, it got my heart rate up but it's not as tough as, say, Kate's Cardio Combat or Nell McAndrew. I think it's good for people with a lot of weight to lose, or who are looking for a well structured, well instructed workout to start exercising with.
