Working with David Hobby, the founder of www.strobist.com, The Rosco Strobist Collection contains the Cinegel filters photographers need, properly sized (1.5" x 3.25") to fit most shoe-mount strobes.
There are 20 different colours inside with multiple pieces of each color for a total of 55 pieces of filter.

Flashes like the Canon 580EX or Nikon SB900 can produce a lot of heat when fired at full power. If you intend to use these flashes at full power then we recommend you use a gel holder to protect the gels, search for product code: B004WVBHAA.

I bought these after seeing a few videos on the Internet using them to help with coloured lighting effects whilst using flash guns and also using them on torches to add different coloured lighting in photos. These are a great little product and i think every camera bag should have a set.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Comes in a plastic container with a paper label on each colour, I personally would only use the yellow end gels but all are unblemished and well presented. I used them to warm up portraits on my 580EX and found I only had to use the gel horizontally on the flash to give the desired effect (covering only half the flash)as covering the flash completely was too much. They come at a good price, and think when I have time will experiment with the other colours. So a good product at a good price.

I was lucky to realize that I also needed to buy a "Gel Holder Strap" else I would have been rather frustrated! The Gels themselves are OK - I have no prior experience - but they can "crinkle" due to the heat from the flash (Canon 580EX-II).

Well unlike LEE holder, filters are top class.
LEE filters are good, very good. If you wanna turn your flash into sunlight machine and use it even with sunsets. Read more

Nice collection of gels
These are all the gels you need to do strobist work. There are several copies of the most used ones (CTO, Green, CTB) and a nice set of other colors
