Book Description

25 Sep 2008
Along with Stirling Moss and Gilles Villeneuve, Ronnie Peterson is widely regarded as one of the fastest drivers never to have won the Formula One World Championship. Like Moss and Villeneuve, the modest Swede was also massively popular in his day and remains something of a folk hero to today's nostalgic fans, who recall his spectacular exuberance behind the wheel with such affection. This superbly produced book brings Peterson's career vividly to life through stunning images sourced exclusively from LAT, the world's largest library of motor racing images.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss it if you're an seventies Formula One fan.... 5 Mar 2010
By M. Fonseca - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
The back cover of this book says: "Containing over 190 glorious images..." Make no mistake: this is not false advertising. The photos are indeed glorious, majestic, and they will transfer you to the time and life of the Super Swede himself, Ronnie Peterson, and you will probably weep at the end.

But the potos would never have the tremendous impact they allready have by themselves, had it not been the amazing writing of Alan Henry. There is no proper text in the book. Each year in Ronnie's racing life get a chapter and a brief summary. Bu the legends to the photos do the trick: they are extremely informative (without being boring) and make a compelling read.

In my opinion, this is the best book available, in English language adn still in print, about Peterson.

Ronnie didn't get to achieve the World Championship of F 1, but he should have. This book shows some of his character and ability. All F 1 fans should read this book or others about Ronnie. I would definately recomend it. David.

Very well done book with numerous previously unpublished photos. This is one of a series of Grand Prix driver appreciation books and they have all been enjoyable.
