This is one of my favourite albums and if you love Irish music you'll love this album. So just sit back, listen and enjoy, this is the perfect therapy after another horrid day at work
1) Life is a Rollercoaster 10/10
Great uptempo opening track, one of Ronan's best songs, co-written by New Radicals frontman Gregg Alexander.
2) The way you make me feel 10/10
Written and backing vocals by Bryan Adams. This is one of my favs of the album, it has a wonderful raw feeling about it and has some great lyrics
3)In this life 9/10
If you love "When you say nothing at all" then you'll love this song. Slow ballad with an Irish feel. Lovely song
4) Heal me 10/10
Also co-written by Gregg Alexander. This song is brilliant and a great up tempo track. Though it may take a few listens to really appreciate it, it has similar style to Life is a rollercoaster and has a cracking instrumental and ending. Perfect song to listen to on your walkman on the way to work.
5) Keep on Walking 10/10
A mid tempo track which has an anthem chorus. A very positive song which again has a very Irish feel. Love this song
6) When you say nothing at all 10/10
Fantastic ballad which is a mix of country and traditional Irish music from the film Notting Hill
7) Brighter days 9/10
The hairs will stand up on the back of your neck when you hear this track - an epic ballad. Beautiful
8) If you love me 7/10
I didn't like this song when I first heard it. It reminds me a bit of "Don't be stupid" by Shania Twain.
9) If I don't tell you now 7/10
Written by Diane Warren, it's not very memorable, one of the weaker tracks on the album
10) Only for you 8/10
Ronan's famous Boyzone growl comes out in this song.

This album is just fantastic - even though I have Ronan's 2 other solo albums, I still play it all the time...I doubt I'll ever tire of listening, enjoying and totally getting lost in Ronan's magical voice here in these songs! There is so much emotion shown in all of Ronan's music...and on this CD!
"When You Say Nothing At All", "In This Life", "Only For You", "Brighter Days" and "Once Upon A Lifetime" are just gorgeous, with the Irish flavour in the music and Ronan's amazing voice just taking any listener away to the most wonderful place. The words have so much meaning and Ronan certainly feels and shows that meaning effortlessly! "When The World Was Mine" is a song that certainly remains in your head long after listening! "Addicted" and "The Way You Make Me Feel" are fabulous and for the more up tempo tracks, "Rollercoaster", "Keep On Walking" (with that fantastic unforgettable chorus!) and "If You Love Me" are songs that will always have you tapping your feet!
This is just a winning CD - you will always love it, no matter what mood you're in, it will always lift you up!

If your a boyzone fan then this is an album not to be missed. Ronan sings all the songs in the famous Keating way. There is mostly the ballads, but there are a few up-beat tracks (4, 7, 11 and 13). Ronan has co wrote tracks 5 and 13 which are among my personal favorites. He has also done great colabrations with Bryan Adams (track 2) and Gregg Alexandra (tracks 1 and 4). Overall if you love Ronan or Great bllads then get this album.

The first time I heard Ronan sing was "No Matter What" on "The Box" along with the other members of Boyzone and I was hooked! I'm from the States so I had to order this album on line. I just want you to know that I thoroughly enjoy this album, have listened to it over and over. Ronan's voice is so beautiful, as are all the songs on the album, however, my favorite is "Addiction". Anyway, I am praying that Ronan takes America by storm soon, as I would love to see him in concert. I look forward to his next album, and his next, and his next. Thanks!

Robbie Williams look out! There is more sheer class and talent than empty show-man ship on display here!
After the 'Boyband by numbers' style of Boyzone where cover versions were the name of the game, pop pundits have been waiting for Ronan Keating's solo material with bated breath. The hit single "When You Say Nothing At All" showed us all how good the boy was. But could he deliver an album equal to that 'classic' single? Well, the answer is a resounding 'yes.' This acomplished album features songs written by Bryan Adams and The Bee Gess and also collaborations with some of the writers behind Madonna and Belinda Carlisle's biggest hits. Add to this, Ronan's excellent vocals (at last he has stopped that growling, no matter what!) and you are left with a near faultless album full of the most perfect pop songs.
Heal Me is the stand-out track for sheer anthemic appeal but there are many others including: Addicted and The Way You Make Me Feel. On this album Ronan manages to reinvent himself by adding the missing ingredient in Boyzone- the Irish sound that The Corrs have perfected so well. Also the range in his voice is evident here. It's as if he really likes and feels something for these songs whereas in Boyzone, you almost felt as if he was going through the motions.
Never mind Stephen Gately, this album should have been called: New Beginning. That's exactly what it is. Ronan Keating has emerged from a boyband with credibilty and he didn't need to flash on stage, date pop-stars, or appear in the tabloids every five minutes to make it. His talent and canny use of some of the best writers in the business should ensure that he will be entertaining us long after Robbie Williams' hype bubble has well and truly burst!
A fautless debut solo album!
