Zacapa is aged in three different types of barrel (whisky, sherry and wine) in a unique process called the ‘Sistema Solera’, and is a blend of rums between 6 and 23 years old. The secret of Zacapa is the slow ageing process that takes place at high altitude in the cool air of the highlands – we say – Aged Above the Clouds.
