Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino play ditzy best friends who decide to attend their 10-year high school reunion, but they completely make over their styles and identities first in order to impress the people who tormented them. The two stars keep Romy and Michele's High School Reunion going despite various lapses and potholes in David Mirkin's direction and despite a sneaking sense that the idea can't sustain the length of an entire feature. A midsection dream sequence underscores the latter problem through blatant padding, but Sorvino and Kudrow--both of whom became established stars playing airheads on other projects--are worth the weaknesses. --Tom Keogh

A great feel-good film, perfect for when you feel like being cheered up. It's silly, but also extremely funny, and the two main characters are very likeable. I have lost count of the number of times I have watched it, but every time it never fails to entertain.

I actually watched this film first in 9 minute installments on Youtube so it was not the best viewing experience. However, the film itself just made me want to carry on watching the blurry video quality: it is absolutely hilarious. There are countless one liners (I would quote one now but it will just spoil the surprise!) and both Romy and Michele are frickin' incredible! I highly reccommend buying this DVD as it has the watchability factor and you are able to watch it again and again. Fantastic!

'Romy & Michele's High School Reunion' is one of the funniest chick-flick's ever in my opinion.
Based around two best friend's Romy (Mira Sorvino) & Michele (Lisa Kudrow).
In their late twenties, the two are invited to their high school reunion. Both feel inferior in what they have achieved in life so decide to attend the event & conjure up a story making them both appear glamourous & successful.
The movie is very funny, I had many laughs at the more dim of the two (the stereotypical dumb blonde) Michele.
What's nice about the film is the way it accentuates what true freindship really means, standing by one another. The two went from being the fat girl (Romy) & the girl with the back brace (Michele) to being two attractive fun-loving women.
The lesson the pair learn is to be yourself & be proud of who you are.
While at the reunion they are both faced with the high school bitches (now all pregnant & married) & their former crushes.
'Romy & Michele's High School Reunion' is a feel good movie that'll give you a few laughs. The performances from the two leads are great particularly Kudrow who is always nails playing the ditzy blonde.
The only real critisism is the use of stereotypes (such as the dumb blonde) but the movie isn't really targeted at the kind of people who would really care. It is a chick-flick, so I would only really advise fans of this genre to bother watching it. So for all you men considering this, don't bother!
In conclusion a great film; funny, relative & a good ol' moral at the end! You've got to love Michele & Romy who've clearly stood the test of time friendship wise.
So buy it for yourself now ladies!

fun filled film
this film is full with fun, to the brim, it's a masterful piece. Lisa Kudrow plays a character similar to Phoebe (Friends), so if you enjoy Friends, you'll love this film!!!!!
