Romeo and Juliet is a great study aid for all ages. With wonderful graphics and animations, this fabulous programme makes learning Shakespeare easy and fun for all ages. The program includes sections on the language, plot, themes and play - all accompanied by interactive games, including platform and shooting games, all brilliantly designed. The complete text of the play is included with voice-overs and an animated picture story highlights the important events in the play. I would definitely recommend it for SATs and GCSE and level - my students have found it a great help. If there is one Shakespeare study guide you buy this Christmas, make sure it's this one!

The product is hopelessly outdated and basically just a précis of the play plus the text (available online for free anyway). The 'games' are like those infuriating flash games you get (for free) on the web. Bearing in mind you need one disk per student (it must be in the CD drive to use), it is wholly impractical for group use. This may have been OK back in 1995 (when it was produced) but one to avoid these days.
