4.0 out of 5 stars Pure Class !!! 31 May 2001
Format:Audio CD
Well after a year or so break, the Jaxx are back!! This new single brings them back to form with a slightly new sound. Their previous singles "Red Alert" , "Rendevous" and "Bingo Bango" have all had a sound of their own and this song is no exception. Whether you like this song or not, its gonna be in your head for quite a while. A big thumbs up and welcome back lads!!!!! (Check out the Bollywood style vid too!)

4.0 out of 5 stars BONGOWONGOLOID 29 Mar 2002
By Richard P. Schmidt - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Bongoloid is definitely the reason to buy the single. It is an awesome track that deserves its own single. I think the only reason it didn't get into the Rooty album is because it actually would fit more into Remedy than Rooty (it reminded me of "Same Old Show" mixed with the jungle feel of "Red Alert"). Rooty was just a fun album and this one just does more experimentation than Rooty felt like covering. Must be the intro (don't almost all electronica intros stink?).
Bongoloid is an incredible track. Find the single. Get it. The Cover art has a Lion on it (keeping with the animal zoo of Rooty's monkey and 'Where's your head at?' single's Ostrich. Too bad they don't have the art on the site.
4.0 out of 5 stars BONGOLOID!! 29 July 2001
By Rafael - Published on Amazon.com

"Romeo" is an extremely bouncy, catchy & funky affair and if you like the song you should certainly buy the album, ROOTY. The remixes are sort of blah, but the real draw of this single is "Bongoloid," a completely insane ragga & latin-tinged speed garage track that has left me mystified as to why it didn't make the full-length album.
