"do not put your trust in horses" except in this game - a nice addition to the Rome Total War stable!

Fun:
Finally, I won in this expansion! Those used the Total War interface may enjoy this expansion though unfortunately there is no diplomats so nitty gritty war is only possible. City management can take also take a back seat as there is a relentless push forward to take over the "massive" Persian Empire.
My only problem is that there is no opportunity to play (or unlock) the Persians once you have won the Alexanderian campaign. In this sense it holds no further challenge.
Despite this its an excellent addition to the Rome Total War group of games.

Fun:
I have been searching for this game for months so when i finally found it on here i though great. I ordered it straight away. However when i receved the product i put it straight into my computer and a message come up saying error disk could not be read. I was so dissapointed :L.

This is the second expansion for rome total war. The first, barbarian invasion, is worth playing: the Western roman empire faction is a stiff challange and loads of fun.
This expansion is rubbish. Even the hardest settings, it is so easy that it's boring. After the first few turns, you will have a rocketing economy and your armies will be unstoppable. The Persian forces are disorganised, most of their cities are almost undefended and your troops are vastly superior. The 100 turn time limit for the campaign is very generous: I played quite slowly, often holding my main armies back while I upgraded my blacksmiths & retrained my troops and I finished the game in 40 turns.
