The info is up to date, and well presented, and there was plenty in it for a short city break (we stayed 5 days, and there was more than enough for us), may need more in-depth info if you are more information hungry or staying longer though as content is a little superficial at times. The reason this is a 3 and not a 4 is that the maps don't have all the roads marked, and when you're walking around the city (which is a must!), it's difficult to find your way around with them ( especially in Trastevere where we failed to find any of the restaurants recommended in the book, because their map was just useless!) fortunately we found a great restaurant as we wandered around in circles looking for somewhere particular! Our hotel gave us a free walking scale map which had each street marked, and complimented this great guide beautifully. Some of the sights are repeated at several points in the book, so if, like me, you want to annotate the book with personal comments, you'll have to decide which entry to mark up, is it because it's one of the top 10 sights, or one of the top 10 churches?
