One of few movies from Brian Yuzna-inspired Fantastic Factory. Allegedly based on a true story of Spanish traveller accused of lycanthropy, Paco Plaza's movie tries, but wanders off line from time to time and may severly dissapoint many fans. Especially those used to typical werewolf movie schemes. Here we find literally ONE transformation scene, just few gruesome effects, much more romance and storytelling though. Sands is OK, Elsa Pataky even better, yet both fail to really spark on screen and revive plot. As usual, good treatment of edition from Arrow, with poster, booklet and few featurettes.
