Having previously purchased the brilliant "Bazaar Style" by the very talented stylist/writer Selina Lake I was excited to hear about this new publication, and it does not disappoint! Full of beautiful pictures and homes, and inspirational ideas/writing. There are many books and magazines which cover this "genre", but this is definitely a personal favourite. For someone who reads a lot of these, I was surprised by the amount of new ideas and pictorial influences I picked up in one read. Anyone with an interest in this type of interior will be very satisfied with this book. Can't wait for the next!

This is a really lovely book. I have to admit to spending alot of money on these types of books, I love them and this is definately going to be in the favourite pile, along with 'Bazaar Style' by the same stylist. It is full of beautiful rooms and ideas, so much so (to my husbands horror) I want to redecorate and insist on getting up the whole family on a sunday morning to hit local car boot sales! Anyway I would definately suggest you buy this book pour a glass of something and enjoy!

I just LOVE this book, because it has everything i love about interiors. Vintage fabric, roses, repurposed furniture, eclectic mixes of old and new, framed art, white with colourful cushions....the list goes on!
I also feel the enthusiasm that Selina, Sara, and Debbie have placed into it. They really care about their subject and creating this book must have been a shared passion.
To me this always adds to the reader's enjoyment of a book. It feels fresh and brimming with new ideas and interiors that haven't been seen before.
It inspires with ideas for ways of decorating, that can be adapted to suit a smaller budget or smaller scale room. It has achieveable looks that uplift and brighten our everyday tasks.
There is a good balance between the colourful and the paired down, more neutral decor. With plenty of ideas for each room, this styling book is going to be a favourite of mine for many years to come.

I agree with all the other five star reviews. This is a really beautiful book full of light, airy and pretty interiors. Great use of vintage floral fabrics and lots of lovely colour. If you love Shabby Chic and the use of true vintage treasures (no "junk" style here) you won't be disappointed.
I also think books are such good value. A book like this is page after page of loveliness you can enjoy for a long time compared to magazines which cost only marginally less and you end up with all the ads.

I love this book. Its full of beautiful pieces and room settings. I bought it to inspire me, mostly for upholstery (as currently training in this area),furniture,and general inspiration for living. I can put it down, in fact it keeps me awake of night! my head is full of ideas. Would definately recommend - as long as you dont mind the excitement that comes following reading!

Selina Lake created such a beautiful book - her styling work combined with Debi Treloar's eye as photographer make for an incredible duo. Romantic Style is packed with beautiful, creative styling ideas and full color photographs that are light and bright. Normally, floral styles can feel heavy and dated but Selina's take is very fresh and playful. I especially liked how she breaks the Romantic Style into sections -- important and clever of her to present it this way as Romantic Style can be broken down into all sorts of looks. Can't wait to see what Selina works on next, if it's anything like Bazaar Style and Romantic Style I'm sure it will be a hit!

This is a lovely little book. It gives a lot of decorating ideas for a romantic style and even though it seems to be aimed at a 'younger' market it can be used by anyone. The picutres are lovely and is lovely to leaf through on a quiet moment. If your idea of romantic is a room full of flounces, lace and heavy drapes this book is all the more interesting because it shows how be 'romantic' in your home with with minimal 'stuff'gorgous colours and almost any style. It shows how you can use the most basic thing eg the lamp shade as a decorating tool to add colour and design and probably most of them were bought from jumble sales/car boot sales. If like me you have wanted to keep elements of 'romance' and declutter it is ideal.
