Mihaela Ursuleasa was found dead in her bed at her Vienna (Austrian) House in August 2012, at the early age of just 33........
According to the Austrian Police, she succumbed (alone...) from a TOTALLY UNEXPECTED massive BRAIN hemorragea , as a main blood vessel seems to have burst inside her head.. and her mother, who lived at the other end of Vienna and called her nearly everyday , discovered the catastrophy in the morning...
Mihaela had planned a series of concerts from August to December 2012 and possibly more....
Now, a young Stefanie (aged about 6) is lamenting for her mother...
Just pray for Mihaela Ursuleasa , please , will you ?

I don't have much words since knowing her sudden decease just right now. I wrote 'After Lipatti, Ursuleasa would come' on my review for her Piano & Forte alubum. I didn't think they both would "go" so early then. I'm so sad and depressed for her going. That is the only word that could come from me for now.

I have not had a chance to listen to this recording as it was sent to my winter address instead of my current address. However, I must say that this artist Mihaela Ursuleasa has achieved a high level of piano artistry that matches that of Dinu Lipatti. The irony is that they both died at the age of 33....two Romanian pianists of great artistry and national pride of Romania.
