Ramona Gönczöl is a lecturer in Romanian language at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London. She is co-author, with Dennis Deletant, of Colloquial Romanian, 3rd edition (Routledge, 2002). Her research interests include ethnography, cultural identities, sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics.
For years I tried to find a book that would explain Romanian grammar. With this book I hit the jackpot! Not only did it do this but it explores how words are combined within the Romanian language and gives a detailed account of verbs. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who is studying the Romanian language, with its help I am almost fluent. Before purchasing this book I hardly knew any verbs and verbs are crucial in order to speak in any language.

this grammar is the best on the market! it is so clearly written, explanations are user friendly, it has lots of examples and a wonderful second part with every day language as well as a useful verb table. do buy it! you won't regret it!
This is excellent for someone like me who has to know the grammar involved when learning to speak a language. It is clear, concise and is very useful in conjunction with CDs.
