By Andrew Dalby TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
This was my son's favorite birthday present. He has read it over and over again so that now he knows almost everything there is to know about a Roman Soldiers Life off by heart. The book has great illustrations and clear and concise text that children will find accessible as well as enjoy reading.

It also gives them some of the gruesome bits that they love to read about - like punishments for bad behaviour and what was expected of the lowly foot soldiers. It is really great and I would recommend it to any parent.

Purchased as part of a small selection of related books on Romans for my 7 year old grandson who is doing this in school. My tittle for the review is a direct quote from him. He has used it to give a presentation to his class, and his mother has said that he gets thorouly imersed in it. A good buy for any budding Roman.
