Roman Kikta is a 25+ year wireless industry veteran, venture capitalist, entrepreneur and author. He is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Genesis Campus Funds and Mobility Ventures, Venture Capital firms based in Dallas Texas. A pioneer of the wireless industry he has held senior management positions with Nokia, Panasonic, GoldStar and OKI. Under his leadership, Entrepreneur magazine named Genesis Campus one of the Top 100 Venture Capitalists for Entrepreneurs. Roman has co-authored four books on technology published by McGraw-Hill. Throughout his career Roman has played the role of "cultural anthropologist" for industry traveling the world to study market trends from psychological, cultural and sociological perspectives to gain an understanding of how people will have to interact with products and technology for those products to be successful. Based on his ability to identify untapped market opportunities he led the development of several wireless industry "firsts" including: cellular payphone, inbuilding & PBX systems, voice recognition dialers, smartphone, and several generations of mobile, transportable and portable phone designs, features and functions and the initial launch of PCS in the U.S. Roman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics from Rutgers University, and has completed the Private Equity & Venture Capital program at the Harvard Business School; and the Strategy & Innovation Program at MIT Sloan, the Management Program at New York University.
