I was so lucky to pre order this beauty and by doing so get it for what i initially imagined was going to be a hefty sixty three quid. How wrong i was, this book is worth every penny and much more, basically it's the king of all Rolling Stones books, it's huge, glossy, full of new and unseen pictures, mainly all in their peak years. It's about twice the size and weight of any of the similar books on the market, as i said almost every picture is either a new or rarely seen gem on luxurious paper. I rarely do reviews on here but i make an exception to say how great a book this is. Times are tight money wise for almost everyone but if you're a big Stones fan and going to treat yourself then this is the way to it. Magnificent effort Taschen Books.

Outstanding book.
Looks and weighs a ton.
Ok have seen some of the images before, having a few books on the stones, but never like this.
Great coffee table book, but make it a strong one.
Superb, well done David.

A must have for all Rolling Stones' fans! 10 Dec 2014

If you are a hardcore Stones fan, this is a must have purchase. Don't let the price concern you. This book is worth every cent. It comes it a heavy cardboard slip case (with a handle!) and is beautiful done on heavy stock paper. The photos will blow you away. It's also not just a book of pictures, but has text telling the history of the Stones and the stories behind the photographers and their photos. It is broken up in chapters relating to the Stones' career. Make sure you have some place to properly display this item because it's huge! It's bigger than your normal coffee table book and feels like it weighs a ton. Again, if you're a fan and have that kind of disposable income: BUY THIS BOOK!
