good quality item, strong enough to hit someone with if neccessary, edges on centre of item a bit rough but soon sorted with a bit of sand paper, heavy enough for rolling out pastry without much effort.

If home protection is on your mind, then this is unlikely to inflict much damage upon your perpetrator. It is rather narrow for taste and doesn't feel heavy in the hands, the beech must be of an unusually low density. At full stretch you may make a good contact with the offender's cranium but immobilise him in one go, you will not. Perhaps the marble variety would be more appropriate, but be careful of offending the wife when she is cooking. Oh, and when you try and use it for pastry, the width will limit how large an area you want to roll out to. But that's by the by....

Good, sturdy rolling pin
Works fine. Very good value. Comes with a sticker that takes a long time to get off, but that's a very minor complaint.

Rolling pin
It does the job, however, label on the rolling pin is almost impossible to get off, hence annoying.I wish it would have come off easier as more hygenic.

Adequate product, daft labelling glue
Think twice before you buy this -- the product label from T&G Woodworks is attached with glue that will take you an hour to scrub away. The rolling pin... meh. Read more

Good value rolling pin
Good width and light to handle. Much easier to use than my other rolling pin which is marble and very heavy.
