5.0 out of 5 stars An ideal book for coaches of inline and quad skate hockey, 29 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Roller Hockey: Skills and Strategies for Winning on Wheels (Paperback)
If you are a coach of a roller hockey team, whether on inline or quad skates, this book is for you. It is split into seperate chapters on each aspect of the game. Aspects of the game covered include attack and defence, stick handling, passing, goal keeping and more. Each chapter has basic and advanced techniques, and easily followed text and associated diagrams. Even if you are an exoerience coach, there will undoubtedly be new ideas for you to try. Well worth the money, it delivers what the title promises.

The only drawback? If you are coaching quad skate roller hockey, some of the techniques specific to inline skating have to be ignored - there aren't many though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable book and useful as well., 21 Nov 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roller Hockey: Skills and Strategies for Winning on Wheels (Paperback)
This book provides a good all round guide to skills needed to play and to coach Roller Hockey, in addition to all of the drills needed to become a proficient and successful hockey player. However, it is best used by those who want to play the game and to win. It is not really suitable for the beginner, as it is presented in far to much detail for what a beginner would need. For the experienced player, looking to become the best though, there is no substitute. This book has certainly helped me improve my game.

By A Customer
This review is from: Roller Hockey: Skills and Strategies for Winning on Wheels (Paperback)
Book has the necessary detail to teach players and coaches without being confusing or difficult to follow.

An excellent travel team handbook with plenty of scouting ideas for teams and players.

Used extensively for team tryouts to help reduce bias.
