HASH(0x98b721c8) out of 5 stars Great T-Birds Material 5 May 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
If you have only heard the T-Birds with Jimmie Vaughan and thought anything after that would pale in comparrison, check this out. Kid Ramos is EXCELLENT. A different style than Jimmie but he works very well with Kim Wilson. This CD smokes. Bluesy hard drivin Austin Blues Rock. One of their best, no doubt about it. And if you ever have a chance to see these guys LIVE don't pass up the opportunity.

Bieng a F.T fan for many years I was happy to hear this album. From the cover song (roll of the dice) to the last one (a remake of walt disneys zip a dee do dah) I was thrilled to hear that famaliar sound of Kim Wilson awesome voice. Although the original members are mostly gone, Kim has found some good, solid musicians to fill in, and make another great album. Better than High Water I thought, it makes me want more like it. Thats it!!! I love the thundrbirds.

I wish they would come out with a more definitive collection for this band. I know purists would dismiss anything without Jimmy Vaughan and that would be a pity because the real focus of this band is Kim Wilson and they made some great music with a variety of musicians. The problem is all their compilations seem to center on one particular iteration of the band. I would like to find something that covers all the songs of theirs I like.

Bought this to replace one of my old favorite LP's that is all scratched and worn out, nice to hear all the tracks clean and clear again.
