Everything the previous reviewers said is true if you love this sort of music but for a dilettante music lover like me it did not quite do the trick. Started off listening to every note but as it went on my attention wandered. I started wondering if he had a third gear and the songs were a bit one dimensional also it would be more interesting with some other instruments. It would seem that these thoughts may have occured to Phelps as his next? LP Slingshot Pro. in my opinion is better.

Only twice in my life have i ever been deeply effected by music, the first time when i first heard the music of Nick Drake, and the second when i first heard this album. He has a unique ability to produce music that can haunt and uplift you somtimes at the same time. PLAY ON!

This album is awesome. Kelly Joe Phelps has one of the best modern day blues voices i have heard and his guitar is out of this world. I'd recommend this album to anyone into acoustic music, blues or even possibly folk.
