rogue hunter,

This review is from: The Rogue Hunter (Mass Market Paperback)
The heroine of this story is an overworked lawyer named Sam, whose world has just changed forever when her boyfriend ends their relationship. Years of being emotionally downtrodden by the man she convinced herself she loved, her self confidence is nonexistent so she turns to work as a way to escape her problems. However her sisters have other ideas. Her new freedom leads them to convince her that a holiday in their childhood refuge, a cabin in the forest, will be the perfect place to forget all their troubles and the men that caused them! However what they don't count on is the appearance of three mysterious strangers in the neighbouring cabin. Their strange behaviour and aversion to the sun soon catches the girls attention, however one in particular becomes something of an obsession for Sam. Mortimer is an 8009 year old vampire enforcer who has been sent by the council in a hunt for a rogue vampire. Sent to cottage country with his partners he assumes his mission to be a straight forward snatch and grab. However what he didn't count on was finding his life mate in the isolated surroundings. As matters start to appear more sinister then first assumed can Mortimer restore Sam's lacking self belief and convince her that she is the only woman for him? A light and easy book for a free weekend, filled with laughs and two likable characters placed into hilarious situations!

rogue hunter,

This review is from: The Rogue Hunter (Mass Market Paperback)
Samantha is not Garrets type - tall, lean and accident prone. Samantha is only taking a holiday to humour her sisters. An up and coming lawyer she has no time nor interest in romance; not even their three sexy neighbours. Garrett has waited over 800 years for a lifemate and is horrified to realise he can't read Samantha. Reluctantly he decides he will have to try and get to know her. Lyndsay Sands brings a bubbly humour to this tale of reluctant romance.

Workaholic Samantha Willans' sisters decide that they all need a short break at the family summer cottage. She would much rather be back at the office working but decides to tag along until she can find an excuse to hightail it back to the city. When she meets irristable next door nieghbour Garrett Mortimer she finds him strange, why is his eyes locked on her neck?
Garrett just wants to find the rogue reported to be in the area and get out of there but when he meets Samantha he realises he can't read her mind. After eight hundred years as a batchelor has he met the woman who is destined to be his life mate? Niether is looking for romance but are soon pushed together by first her sisters, the circumstances and then pure attraction. I found it an o.k story but it's been done a million times. It's lightwieght and there isn't alot of background to the characters.I struggled not to put it down and leave it a few times and when it ended i was glad to get onto the next book.
