It took me a few chapters to get into this book but the effort to stay with it was well rewarded. The fictional politics left me wondering how close they might be to fact. For me the book had a good mixture of action and courtroom drama but I found the final wrap up a bit disappointing and would have liked to have seen one final twist or action scene brought in. However this is a small quibble and I think this book will appeal to anyone who has followed Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series. I will be looking for another Terence Strong paperback for future bedtime reading.

Gripping. The characters are heroes in the Dick Francis vein. The research convincing and the speed electric. I am surfing on amazon now to order another Terence Strong novel...or two.

I would give this book six stars but I am only allowed five! How close to the truth does this book get? A great read. Again one of those story's that pulls you through the pages towards the ending. It not only gets the blood pumping but also gets you looking over your shoulder whilst going about your daily life. Dare they make a film of this and if so who would have the nerve to play the lead. I have read all of Terence Strong's books(when the next one due?) and this has got to be the best, so far.
