Still looking for that perfect thesaurus 8 Sept. 2014
By Courtney - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This thesaurus didn't have as many words in it as I thought it would. The frustrating part was that there aren't synonyms for words like "good" or "happy". The words in the book are words like "kismet" and refulgent". I was disappointed because it wasn't what I was expecting. I was looking for a thesaurus that would give me bigger words to use in place of smaller ones, not huge words to replace bigger words. I will still use it, but I will be looking for another thesaurus to keep on hand.

I'm happy using thesaurus.com, but I find this book very helpful because it gives unique words for common words. This book can make your writing more clever than it should be. ;-)

Quick, efficient reference for anyone who writes anything! 25 May 2014
By Barbara Grimaldi - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
although i look all words up on the computer, this book is so handy and so quick and easy to use when i'm writing anything, that it's by my side all the time now. it's fun to just page through and see how the material is presented...I don't think Mr. Roget would be pleased, but I am!

Good to have but not as thorough as the plain thesaurus.

A perfect answer to what I have been looking for 14 Mar. 2015
By Ibrahim - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Writing is a craft, and to perfect your craft you need the right tools, the right words and know how to properly use them. It is not enough to just look up a word in a thesaurus and think it is exactly what you need; you still need to see it being used in an example and try to get a feel for it and feel the different nuances, shades of meaning. This book does an excellent job at that and it has come just as an answer to my prayers as I really love books which give me examples and meet me where I am at.
