Great band from Derry with this upbeat rocky pop album, reminds me a bit of some 80s bands like Altered Image. Some excellent stuff here, lets hope they get the recognition they deserve!

This band from Northern Ireland are certainly full of energy and fun which is obvious from most of the tracks on this very good album.
I initially found the (female) vocals a little shrill, in a childlike way, but the more i listen the more they seem right for this style of bubbly, infectious indie electro (with a hint of punk) pop.
For those who can remember them, they reminded me a lot of Shampoo and in their quieter vocal moments (with much friendlier hushed tones) similar to Valerie Poxleitner (aka 'Lights'). Also on the closing track 'Oh Peter', which is deliciously infective they reminded me of Nena singing '99 Red Balloons'!!
There are some great catchy tracks on the album e.g 'TV', 'Golden Five', 'Marshall' and the aforementioned 'Oh Peter' but there are a couple of fillers particularly 'Blonde' and the too funky 'Debbie'.
Overall an impressive debut that can't help put a smile on your face.

On the whole album there is only one song that isn't awesome (fiction), the rest are pure gold. I also know these guys have more brilliant material up their sleeves which I assume may appear on future albums (eg Fortune Cookie), I just hope their new fame doesn't take away the things that make them so appealing like the fact that they used to use social media to arrange house partys and games of rounders in Botanic gardens in Belfast or the fact that at their concerts they are so excited to get photos taken.

This album is totally worth the money, if you don't believe me buy it and discover what all the fuss is about!
