5.0 out of 5 stars Bizarrely excellent 22 Oct 2005
Format:DVD
On first watching this I was surprised, amused and a little horrified to be honest. Since watching it that first time it has risen in my estimations rapidly, and now when I think of it I start smiling.

It is one of the strangest films you will come across, no doubt; but the bizarre, weird, transexual and wonderful world of the rocky horror show win you over I'm sure, sooner or later!

Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon have major roles in this film, originally slated by critics. They both put in good performances and are supported wildly from all directions.

The songs take up a good part of this, and are fantastic. 'Time Warp', 'Sweet Transvestite' and 'Hot Patootie' now feature on my own music collection (under bizarre rock!), and the appearance of Meatloaf for 'Hot Patootie' is another treat.

I suggest that buying this straight off before seeing it might not always be suitable considering the strange and, perhaps for some, worrying nature of this film, but it is definately a classic - in what genre though I have no idea!

One of my favourites, and I'm sure it will become a favourite of many to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Rocky Horror Collection! 16 May 2006
By Rachael
Format:DVD
For every Rocky Horror Fan this is the ultimate collection! There's loads of extras in here like postcards and stills and the lip box packaging looks totally amazing.

There's also the inclusion of Shock Treatment which is the Rocky Horror Sequel and has never been on DVD before.

The film is as great as ever but looks even better on the DVD shelf in this fabulous package. Ten out of Ten all round.

5.0 out of 5 stars RHPS Ultimate Collection 12 Nov 2010
By Sir Why
Format:DVD
This is the ultimate collectors item for any RHPS fan. It comes in a very stylish box which is certainly better made than most boxsets. The amount of content you get is well worth the money. The only complaint is that they give you the shock treatment soundtrack but not the Rocky Horror soundtrack.

Brilliant Collection

5.0 out of 5 stars Gonna need one big tube of lipstick! 14 Oct 2010
Format:DVD
My wife loves this film. To be honest...I love this film and what a great boxset to own. It looks nice sat next to other limited edition boxsets on my shelf and the contents (despite lacking the original soundtrack...minor grumble) is excellent. I highly recommend this to any Rocky Horror fan or dvd collector. Well packaged by amazon and arrived after only 3 days. Excellent service. Excellent product and excellent service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nowhere near as bad as expected 20 Feb 2009
Format:DVD
After reading negative reviews on the construction of this I was plesantly surprised at the quality of the box, the plastic construction of the lips is really thickly moulded and I am amazed others have had problems. The extras may be lacking (and thats where it loses a star, 0.5 of a star if I could...if only the Rocky Horror Soundtrack CD was included, but at the current price and knowing that only 10,000 of these have been produced I personally feel that its a really nicely presented package and takes pride of place on my shelf for sure.

Also top marks go to Amazon on packaging this, wonderful sturdy cardboard box, lined with a further cardboard sheet plinth on which this whole boxset was heat shrink wrapped to, then further bubble wrap padding to prevent any least bit of movement/side walls of cardboard damaging it.....box arrived totally mint.

Wonderful packing, wonderful package at a wonderful price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Buy it while on sale, not worth otherwise 13 Feb 2009
Format:DVD
I found this set at for the current price of about 13BP and im glad i bought it on sale as the set is pretty cheaply made.
First of all i dont understand the inclusion of the shock treatment CD but not the RHPS...
the comic book is not even finished, it only gets up to the part where Rocky awakens. The comic is pretty great though, i havent fully checked but i think it follows the script faithfully and also includes the songs.
There are three postcard-sized glossy pictures which are cool but nothing worth making this set intresting, although i dont think some1 will go out to buy some RHPS photos.
The most intresting thing i think was the guide to watch the movie like true midnight screenings fans watch it. Although supposed to be for the theaters i guess you could try and do it at home with a couple of friends, good luck cleaning up though :P

A bad thing about the set was that the bottom part of the lips I think its metal so its pretty resistant, but the top part is made of plastic and i only opened it a few times and side is broken already, its not visible but I know its there .
