I'm so glad that this song has rekindled interest in Nickelback, a band that has been frequently plagued by unjust negative criticism. But this time, the unprecendented success of this song has given the band vital ammunition in their constant battle against the critics. Who cares what they think when the song and the accompanying album 'All The Right Reasons' have shot it into the UK top 5 and are still hanging on in there, months and months after their release. Now that's the sign of a successful song.

The appeal of Rockstar is that it works on two levels. On one hand it is highly comedic and the lyrics offer a perfect take on modern celebrity culture and then on the other hand you have the simple fact that Rockstar is just a great record. It's catchy and Chad's distinctive vocals still sound on top form. Every time i hear the song on the radio it still fills me with joy to hear something so perfect in its carefree nature, the sound of a band free to do as they want and enjoy themselves to the full - and coming up with such fantastic music in the process. The two b-sides, live versions of Nickelback classics, make for a nice bonus to this single too.

I love this single! Nickleback have gone and done it again!
This material is a real top on above their old stuff! It really shows a new era for them, but still having the same gravely style that made them get somewhere!
I love this single, you should buy it!

I love this song and it's great they have released it as a single.

It's cool how they can take the mickey out of themselves and they industry they are in.

Lovin Chad's voice and the southern rock feel to the music
