The cover always had the look of a bargain bin compilation to me, but I hadn't looked closely enough. In the process of up-dating my Daltrey collection before all the CD's go out of print again, I discovered this to be an original album, released only in the U.S. in the early nineties. And to an extent it sounds like one, with the production values of the time tending to date it in places, not to mention some in-advisable Rap a la Roger on the song Times Changed. But any fan of the man needs this for a trio of tracks that rise way above the rest in my opinion; Love Is, Days Of Light, and Unforgettable Opera. Three fantastic songs which should belong on any Best of Daltrey compilation. And I was truly amazed to find his portrait on the cover was how he looked then, and was not one from twenty years earlier! Something in his Jeans?

Not released in many countries, this album is simply Roger Daltrey s' best effort to date. He not only sings as always, but co-writes half the album, a landmark for him.
1. Who's Gonna Walk On Water: The opener, is a good opener that sets the tone for the rest of the album; a song recently played live by Roger.

2. Before My Time Is Up: Also very good.

3. Times Changed: A blues song that rocks out !! Roger does his best blues interpretation in years !
4. You Can't Call It Love. A light pop song, that gives a different colour to the album.
5. Mirror Mirror: A powerful ballad. Resembles a song from Tommy in a certain way.

6. Perfect World. This song is a little light or different with guitars and mandolins in the back sound.

7. Love Is. A second blues song, powerful.

8. Blues Man's Road: Also a blues song with a heavy rock beat.

9. Everything A Heart Could Ever Want (Willow) Beautiful ballad dedicated to one of Roger daugthers.

10. Days Of Light. This song was a minor hit in the US. It is catchy and simple. Played by Roger s' band at their 2009 and 2010 tours.

11. Unforgettable Opera. A masterpiece ! It seems that he is singin about The Who or Pete in particular. It sounds as Roger gave all into the song. A song The Who should incorporate into their set list !!

There are several excellent leftovers not included on the album, that you can hear if you search for them........

What a fantastic album! After the commercial "Can't Wait To See The Movie" Roger returns with a classic collection of rock tunes. Daltrey is much more involved in the writing on this album, and with the help of Gerard McMahon he produces rockers like "Who's Gonna Walk On Water", "Before My Time Is Up" and "Unforgettable Opera", and excellent ballads like "Everything A Heart Could Ever Want". This is Roger's best album vocal performance since Who Are You.
All you Who fans out there should buy this album.
