He has managed several award-winning restaurants in Australia, and today concentrates on his flagship brand, the Rockpool Group, which includes Rockpool Sydney; Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney, Melbourne and Perth; Spice Temple Sydney and Melbourne; and The Waiting Room. Neil has been creating menus for Qantas since 1997, redefining in-flight dining and service, and is the author of six cookbooks: Rockpool, Good Food, The Food I Love, Simply Asian and Balance & Harmony, with Rockpool Bar & Grill due out in October 2011. Neil has also created recipe CDs and a range of Neil Perry Fresh food products as well as being a television presenter on the LifeStyle channel, and more recently as an Iron Chef on Iron Chef Australia.

This isn't just a restaurant cookbook, although all of your favourite dishes are here. This is the Rockpool story - a manual for recreating that exquisite immersive experience of dining at one of Neil Perry's "iconic restaurants".

A nice touch was that the book includes a recipe for house-made tonic water, you will be able to decipher the extraordinary equation that makes Rockpool so extraordinarily successful. As you would expect there are classic steakhouse recipes, but there are also unexpected inclusions such as the glorious lentil and ricotta eggplant moussaka and an essential house-chopped salad, which is tossed tableside.

This recipe book is not just a coffee-table book, but contains fantastic recipes and very clear instructions. A great range of seafood recipes and some really stunning stuff! If you want a special recipe book that's the very latest - this is the one.

This book is a must for the cook that wants authentic restaurant meals in the comfort of their home. The recipes contained in the book reflect the current Rockpool Bar and Grill menu. If I can't get a reservation on short notice - I'll just whip up the meal myself!

Great book ... looks fantastic sat on my coffee table ... will be an icon ... one for the petit bourgeois ... recipes are good too; easy to make and delicious to eat. Also, delivered to Oz in 3 days - does this book have built in wings as well, I ask myself!
