PLEASE NOTE: Due to Amazon's maddening and idiotic programming of cross-pollinating reviews between different releases of the same title, this review mistakenly also appears on the EXCELLENT 2010 Japan mini-sleeve version! The text below refers only to the old jewel case 1990's release.
Although this classic, five-star album is lamentably out-of-print, there's actually a silver lining to it's unavailability: This 1990 audio is waaaaaay out of date, and all the tracks herein are available on other Berry CD's with superior mastering.
You can find these tracks on either the 2000 2CD Anthology or the 2007 3CD Ultimate collections, save one, "Broken Arrow", which is now available on the 2007 "The Many Sides Of Chuck Berry"... the latter, BTW, being a magnificent 31-track, superbly annotated 180-degree "greatest hits" departure which focuses on his lesser known, but equally-enjoyable, material.
With a little smart Amazon shopping, I picked up all three of these collections for less than any of the high prices being asked for this single, out-of-print CD. Now I have 6CD's of Chuck, albeit with some overlap of material, but in far more enjoyable sound than this old, tired, obsolete-audio CD.
