All songs are available as individual downloadable content (DLC) however if you want to save money, then buy the disc. Rock Band song pack 2 is a standalone game you don't need Rock band 2 to play the content. All 20 Extra songs can be added to your rock band library with the redeem code. All songs are master recordings. all in all a great product highly recommended
