Product Description

Freddy J IV and Brenn Beck are back with an album of voodoo hillbilly punk-blues. Recorded in Fort Wayne IN, and mixed in Detroit by Jim Diamond, Rock Them Back To Hell! sees the duo expanding their sonic palette by adding bass, harmonica, organ, and trash percussion (that would be a cardboard box, a paint tin, trash can and an electrified five-gallon bucket). The result is an album to wake up the dead, and rock it back to hell! The hell-billies cover art is the work of renowned artist William Stout (Return Of The Living Dead, Invaders From Mars, Pan s Labyrinth). Press quotes - An authentic and inspiring updating of the blues-rock idiom for the 21st century. Gutter Candy / Blogcritics // "Giving Tree" is the lowest of low down groove, a dirty diamond of rough, aching, swirling James Leg keys back-dropped by muted and fuzzed slide shimmer guitar. A voice, still growled in pure soul underneath, wounded and in love, lost and rambled, fighting through the sonic din. It s a stunner of a song, and nothing like we ve heard before by these cats. A revelation. Big Rock Candy Mountain // Junkyard Speed Ball is an unholy union of country, blues, punk, and rock at the mercy of a duo that share a musical connection that culminates into one Hell of a record. The Soda Shop // With Junkyard Speed Ball, the blues is in perfectly unsafe hands. Michael Toland / Sleazegrinder // This duo is helping lead the way for the blues rock counter-cultural movement. Georgetown Fats / Boston Blues Society // Hard rock meets boogie-woogie southern blues. That is the best way to describe Left Lane Cruiser and their magnificent disc Junkyard Speedball. Rock & Roll Guru //

in keeping with their previous album 'junkyard speedball' LLC's palette of textures and hues is expanding, but without compromising a full-on attack/assault/commitment to their music/sound/fans/muse. i saw a comment on you tube which made me chuckle, but has to be repeated: "they remind me of the Black Keys before they sucked". well, indeed, their first two are B.K. inspired, (they appear on Dan Auerbach's Alive Naturalsound Recordings label), but they have a little more edge to them, songs not quite in same league as Dan's, but on current form are developing quite nicely into a band who've come to show that they've got more to offer than a couple of throwaway records. they mean what they do, you can hear it through the speakers, and more expensive production values( still organic though) hasn't dulled their essence/vitality/raw crackling buzzing fuzzing riffing hollering blues rocking greatness. in the pantheon of the White Stripes, the Black Keys and Bob Log III. buy everything Left Lane Cruiser do with the utter certainty that you are not going to be disappointed. really.

Freddy J Evans must eat a large portion of barbed wire spaghetti, smoke a dozen stogies, & gargle with Jack Daniels every day to to rough up that voice to a perfect husky croak. As more than onbe reviewer has said elsewhere LLC are "like the Black Keys before the Black Keys started to suck."They just hammer out this hillbilly grunge without pity at max vol, & I love it.

Great to hear the LLC in the raw, rockin and squawking their blu-grass mix, without over production or stupid keyboards! My fave of all their albums.

raw, growling, twang `n' rumble, grungy blues rock. 25 Sept. 2013
By Charlie Quaker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
5th release from rowdy Indiana blues mongers who crank out raw, growling, twang `n' rumble,
grungy blues rock. Freddy Evans' voice is torn from his throat by the Devil's hand and his over-
the-top, ass-kickin', distorted blues slide riffs lay it on the line with a mad, dirty passion. The
bass thumps, the organ bounces like nobody's business and Bren Beck's drums are a relentless,
driving force. This is the kind of music that pulls you into the groove; you're either along for the
ride or you're out of the room. Seriously demented, joyously authentic, shuck `n' jive in-your-face
garage BLUES rock to be played loud! Recalls acts like the Black Diamond Heavies, Henry's
Funeral Shoe, R.L. Burnside, John the Conqueror, Tom Waits.

Not Five Stars more like Five Super Novas 18 Sept. 2013

I'm not sure what this genre is called but these guys are like the Led Zeppelin of it. Was wondering if they could top their last one, well I believe they did. Every sound they make wreaks of soul, whether its the drums, the guitar, the vocals. I feel like I'm drinking a cold Bud standing in a just harvested corn field at midnight when I listen to this.

If you know LLC, you know this album. Heavy, trashy blues rock. Just crack open that PBR and get down.

Very good record 4 Oct. 2013

For the uninitiated, imagine the Black Keys before the Black Keys started to suck and then add equal parts grit and grind.
